carbon3dCLIPimage_ChemNewsletter_fall2015In an article titled “3D Manufacturing for the Future,” the UNC Chemistry Department’s fall 2015 newsletter features the CLIP technology used in the DeSimone lab for the fabrication of 3D micro-structures for medical applications. The Chemistry newsletter also highlights Dr. DeSimone’s recent receipt of the Kabiller Prize in Nanoscience & Nanomedicine, recognizing his invention and use of the PRINT nano-particle manufacturing technology. UNC’s College of Arts & Sciences also published an article this fall by Brandon Bieltz, “From lab bench to marketplace,” which showcases Dr. DeSimone’s achievements in successfully commercializing multiple breakthroughs in polymer science.
